Rana Mazraani Class of 2008

Rana Mazraani was Riverside Academy West’s first graduation and class valedictorian. A wife and mother of three boys, Rana has raised the bar high to excel in her graduate studies. Rana obtained her Bachelor of Biology in 2012 and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2015 from the University of Detroit Mercy (UDM). After working as a Registered Nurse for two years at Beaumont Hospital Rana decided to go back to school to pursue a career as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP). Currently, Rana is enrolled in the Doctoral Nursing Program at UDM and is expected to graduate with a Masters in Nursing in May 2020 and will continue advancing her career as a FNP.

Fatima Al-Mahmod Class of 2017

Soon after graduation Fatima became a Mortgage Loan Originator at Quicken Loans and has continued working there for the past two years. With a passion for entrepreneurship, Fatima soon opened up her own teeth whitening clinic, Brighter Smiles, in Dearborn. It has been successfully up and running since May of 2018, with hopes of expanding her business by introducing new services and new locations within the next year.
Wanting to give back to her community, she joined a local non-profit organization called Reaching Our Children (ROC) as an event planner and has put together various events for the less fortunate.

Abdullah Nasser Class of 2018

After working in restaurants for five years in a row, Abdullah decided to open up his own small restaurant. He is also currently in his second year at the University of Michigan Dearborn studying Electrical Engineering.
